George Clooney's Farragut North gets a name change

Briefly...

George Clooney's political drama based on the stage play Farragut North, has finally secured funding and is set to begin production in February of next year. In the process, the Clooney directed pic has also acquired a new name: The Ides of March. I take it somebody's gonna get stabbed in the back. Probably not literally.

Based on Beau Willimon's experiences on the campaign trail with Governor Howard Dean in 2004, the film has already gathered quite an impressive cast. Clooney will star as the candidate running in the presidential primary;  Ryan Gosling is his eager young press spokesman; Paul Giamatti is a rival campaign manager; Marisa Tomei as a journalist following the campaign; and Evan Rachel Wood as an intern.
