1st look at Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker in Spider-Man

While I still pine for Emma Stone's crimson locks to return, I admit that her blond look for her role as Gwen Stacy has grown on me. A little. We've seen plenty of shots of her sporting the new 'do, but what we haven't seen yet is any shots of Spider-Man star, Andrew Garfield, as the wallcrawler himself. Well now we do. Sortof.   What we have are a bunch of set photos showing Garfield and Stone together, so we now have some idea how The Social Network star will look as Peter Parker. Still nothing of him in costume, though. Bummer.

JustJared snagged the pics, and have about a dozen more on their site. They're all pretty much the same, with Garfield and Stone looking mighty chummy. I was hoping for something a little more dramatic, like Garfield and Stone making out in a giant spider web or something, but instead we get them cracking jokes at a high school football field.

Spider-Man is directed by Marc Webb(500 Days of Summer), and stars Garfield, Emma Stone, Rhys Ifans, Campbell Scott, Julianne Nicholson, Irfan Khan, Martin Sheen, Sally Field(still not totally confirmed), and Denis Leary. It's due to swing into theaters on July 3rd 2012 in 3D.
