Red Band Trailer Time: Bad Teacher, starring Cameron Diaz and Justin Timberlake

I've been waiting to see just how nasty Bad Teacher was going to be.  With Cameron Diaz and Justin Timberlake heading up the comedy from director Jake Kasdan(Orange County), the pieces were certainly in place for it to be a fairly generic, mainstream comedy. Turns out it's a hell of a lot more filthy than I expected, with echoes of Bad Santa springing immediately to mind.

Cameron Diaz stars as Elizabeth, the worst teacher in the world not named Mary Kay Letourneau. She sleeps, comes to work drunk, cusses like ten sailors and generally could care less about the well-being of her class. Her only desire is to find and marry a guy who'll take care of her every financial need. Her opportunity arises when she meets Scott(Timberlake), a rich, handsome substitute who also happens to have the attention of Elizabeth's nemesis, Amy(Lucy Punch).  Both women enter a war to win Scott's affection, while Elizabeth simultaneously spurns the advances of a sarcastic gym teacher(Jason Segel).

I'd much rather see Cameron Diaz get dirty and trashy in stuff like this than wasting away in junk like The Green Hornet.  Diaz has always excelled when she can cut loose comedically, so seeing her paired up against the outrageous Lucy Punch should be a lot of fun.  It looks like Timberlake gets to poke a little fun at his multi-talented nice guy image.   There's no nudity in this trailer, but plenty of foul language and blunt sexual talk, so watch it with the volume down.

Bad Teacher hits theaters on June 17th 2011! Check out the trailer below and let us know what you think!
