Trailer Time: Things Fall Apart, featuring 50 Cent looking like a science class skeleton

Remember all that hubbub about overrated rapper 50 Cent and the extreme lengths he went to for his latest film? He dropped about 60 lbs off of his muscled, bullet-riddled body, no doubt hoping to receive accolades the same way Christian Bale did for The Machinist. During all that time I bet nobody actually learned the name of the movie, did they? I sure as Hell couldn't remember it until today. It's called Things Fall Apart, and was directed by Mario Van Peebles, whose career longevity continues to astound me. "Fitty" stars as college running back with NFL aspirations, but everything falls apart when he's suddenly stricken with cancer. Fun for all!

A trailer has popped up for the film, and everything about it screams "low rent". From the crushing musical score, to the overwrought acting by Lynn Whitfield(what happened to her??), the only thing that might make this worth a watch is Ray Liotta's misplaced intensity. To his credit, 50 Cent seems like he's giving this one his best, and he's actually not been that terrible of an actor Righteous Kill aside. It doesn't appear as if he's got the range to tackle a role like this yet. Check out the trailer below! And I apologize for the above image. Hope I  didn't ruin your lunch.
