Briefly...
Back in
February we learned that Sylvester Stallone's next flick would be a cop drama titled
Headshots, to be directed by Wayne Kramer(
The Cooler,
Running Scared
). The film would see Stallone starring as a copy who “teams with a young NYPD detective in a high-stakes investigation that leads from the dingy back alleys of New Orleans all the way to the power corridors of Washington, D.C." Sounds like it could be good, but only if it has a solid director. Huh? Wha? What about Kramer? Well,
Deadline reports that he and Stallone had a banging of heads over the creative direction of the film, so he's dropped out of the project completely. Here's hoping it didn't devolve into fisticuffs because Sly might have a slight advantage.
So what're the chances Stallone just takes the whole thing over himself? He doesn't appear to be taking on the directing reins of
The Expendables
anymore(thank goodness), so what's to stop him from putting those energies into Headshots? Oh, and I'm still holding out hope Ben Foster gets to play Stallone's partner in the film. Just a wish, that's all.
