Not anyone can play the father to a borderline god like Superman. The great Marlon Brando did it in the Richard Donner flick, and Christopher Nolan has been looking for an equal huge name for Zack Snyder's Man of Steel. Well he found his guy, as Variety reports that Russell Crowe is in talks to play Jor-El in the film.
Crowe instantly becomes the biggest name in a crowded superhero film, due to begin production next month. Henry Cavill stars as Superman, with Amy Adams, Diane Lane, Kevin Costner, and Michael Shannon rounding out the cast.
