A not so good new image of Tom Cruise in Mission: Impossible-Ghost Protocol

I have no idea what anybody is trying to say with this new, God awful image from Mission: Impossible-Ghost Protocol. Is Tom Cruise secretly failed superhero, The Cape? This shot makes him look like a white rapper on the Death Row roster. How am I supposed to get excited for this movie now? Clearly this shot isn't from the film itself, and if it is then something's gone terribly awry. I just don't see the point.

Mission: Impossible-Ghost Protocol is directed by Brad Bird, and stars Tom Cruise, Paula Patton, Jeremy Renner, Ving Rhames, Simon Pegg, Josh Holloway, Anil Kapoor, Michael Nyqvist, Lea Seydoux, and Tom Wilkinson. Look for it in theaters, hopefully appearing much better than this shot, on December 21st.
