Trailer Time: Carnage, starring Kate Winslet, Christoph Waltz, John C. Reilly, and Jodie Foster

Oh. Kate Winslet wipes her ass with our human rights. That was unexpected. Undoubtedly, Roman Polanski's latest film, Carnage, is going to draw it's fair share of looks when Oscar season rolls around. We're talkin' basically a four-person acting workshop with the likes of Christoph Waltz, Jodie Foster, John C. Reilly, and Kate Winslet teaching the course. But what I hadn't realized until the last week or so was that it's just as much of a comedy as it is heavily dramatic. Some of the images we saw seemed to indicate as much, but now that the trailer is out we really get to see that Carnage is best identified as a dramedy. Will this help or hinder it's Oscar hopes over the coming months?

The story centers on two upper middle class couples meeting over dinner to discuss a schoolyard fight that took place between their sons. Winslet is the centerpiece here, especially as she devolves into a drunken tyrade. Carnage opens during the busy month of December on the 16th, and I for one can hardly wait.  Check out the trailer below, courtesy of Twitch...
