Trailer Time: Tucker & Dale vs. Evil, starring Alan Tudyk and Tyler Labine

Ever since Deliverance, the dirty, piano toothed(or tooth) hillbilly has been a staple of the low budget shock horror film. If you're a raucous group of teenagers or a hot loner chick looking for a quiet getaway in any remote mining town, chances are you're going to be the victim of some hayseed with an axe and a ravenous sexual appetite. In pretty much every one of these films, the hillbillies are presented as the depraved bad guys. But maybe it's all just a misunderstanding?

In Tucker & Dale vs. Evil, two good natured but stupid hillbillies(Tyler Labine and Alan Tudyk) cross paths with your typical rowdy college students looking for a little camping fun. But when one of the girls(Katrina Bowden) is accidentally injured due, Tucker and Dale take her to their home to bandage her up, only to have the rest of her friends show up thinking she's been kidnapped. Lots of people get killed in hilarious fashion.  Check out the trailer below...




The film was written and directed by Eli Craig, making is feature length debut. It debuted last year to some good reviews at Sundance and again at SXSW, but is finally due to be released On Demand on August 26th. It'll then roll out on a limited basis on September 30th.
