Isla Fisher replaces Amanda Seyfried in Louis Leterrier's Now You See Me
It's not often you'll hear me grumble about the presence of gorgeous, crimson haired Isla Fisher in any film. Not just because she's beautiful, but because she's grown into a great actress with perfect comedic skill. Who else could make me almost(ALMOST!!!!) like Confessions of a Shopaholic? Nobody, that's who. Except for maybe Amanda Seyfried, who I think has skills on par with Fisher if not even better. Seyfried had been in talks to co-star in Now You See Me, the star-studded heist flick being prepped by Louis Leterrier(The Incredible Hulk). But now Seyfried is apparently out, and Fisher steps in to fill the void.
Featuring a cast that includes Jesse Eisenberg, Melanie Laurent(Beginners), Mark Ruffalo, and Morgan Freeman, the film features a premise that has me giggling with anticipation. The story centers on an all-star team of the world's greatest illusionists, who use their skills to pull off bank heists and sharing the profits Robin Hood-style with their audience. They end up in a clash with a crack team of FBI agents brought together to bring the magicians down. Fisher's role is that of Henley, who helps build the devices aiding in the heists. Eisenberg is the group's leader, Freeman is an ex-illusionist turned whistleblower of sorts, and Laurent is the world's sexiest FBI agent. I'm embellishing that a little bit. [Variety]
