Red Band Trailer: The Thing, starring Joel Edgerton and Mary Elizabeth Winstead

Ok, so now somebody's finally remembered to try and push this whole prequel of The Thing, right? After months of basically ignoring it until it's right around the corner, we've now been treated to new clips and now this super revealing red band trailer, which I'm betting has just given away every "scare" the film has to offer....

This being a prequel I'm assuming we'll learn why this version of the creature appears to be just a killer, rather than the body swapping thing it becomes later on. The CGI looks better here than in the last clip we saw, but in general I've got an issue with computer generated monster flicks. I hope this one's different. Fingers crossed.

The Thing stars Mary Elizabeth Winstead and Joel Edgerton, and will hit theaters on October 14th.
