Trailer Time: 21 Jump Street, starring Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum

Somehow Jonah Hill has managed to pull it off, having a remake of 1980s teen cop series 21 Jump Street not look like a complete disaster. How'd he do it? Well, first of all he's not being too slavish to the show, which probably only a handful of people have even heard of much less seen before. The only time 21 Jump Street comes up is as an answer to the Jeopardy question, "The TV show Johnny Depp got his start in alongside Richard Grieco and Holly Robinson".  But the real reason it works is because it's being prepped as a sortof grown up Superbad, with Hill and Channing Tatum playing the two idiot cops sent in as NARCS at a local high school. Set up the fish out of water scenario, throw in some jokes about Tatum's muscular features, sprinkle in a dash of Ice Cube, and voila!

The latest trailer isn't all that much different from the last one, but it's still pretty funny, especially when Hill tries to do a cool leap over a speeding car. It goes just as you'd expect it to.  21 Jump Street opens on March 16th....
