Trailer Time: The Lucky One, starring Zac Efron and Taylor Schilling

Guys, greet the arrival of yet another Nicholas Sparks adaptation with dread. It's been a long time since The Notebook, people, and these damn things aren't getting any better. The Lucky One is yet another weep-fest vaguely about destiny but really about doing whatever it takes to reduce your girlfriend into a puddle of tears and snot.

The Lucky One stars Zac Efron as a US Marine.....!!!!!!!  Wait a minute, I know there's a dip in  recruitment but there's not enough jagermeister in the world to make me believe Zac Efron is anything but a potato peeler in our military. Whatever. He plays a soldier on his third tour in Iraq who finds a picture of a beautiful woman(Taylor Schilling) moments before a bomb wipes out his squad. Crediting it with saving his life, he seeks the woman out upon his return home(which makes him a stalker. Period.), and takes a job on her farm so he can further stalk her in an effort to get her into bed or something. Of course he won't tell her his backstory because this would be a 30 minute movie, so I'm guessing the other 60 minutes is for screenwriter Will Fetters and director Scott Hicks(No Reservations) to come up with half assed reasons why.

Blythe Danner is slummin' it a little bit in this one, but that's ok because she'll probably be killed off in a manipulative move to make you feel something.  Guys, start planning those out of state trips for April 20th. Ladies, the trailer is below....
