1st image from 'Step Up 4'

So you think you can dance? The better question might be "Do you think you can stomach another Step Up movie"? After Step Up 3D tap danced all over my brain pan, I know what my answer is, and with Jon Chu departing the director's chair(he's producing) there's even less reason to be interested. Whether we like it or not, the Step Up franchise is inexpensive and makes some serious coin(Step Up 3D earned over $150M), so get your back up off the wall and get ready for this summer's Step Up 4. Hey, at least it doesn't appear to be going under the Step Up 4ever title anymore.

The 1st image from the film has been released, and rather than showing a bunch of unrecognizable young folks dancing like this was the world's whitest version of Breakin' ever, it shows two unrecognizable young folks kissing.  And apparently they don't sell shoes in Florida, or in his case they sell ugly ones. Directed by Scott Speer(??), and starring So You Think You Can Dance's Kathryn McCormick along with some guy named Ryan Guzman, the story takes place in Miami and follows the daughter of a wealthy businessman who falls in love with a guy who leads a dance crew. Well, that's certainly fresh and exciting. Oh, I see. Her father is basically a Mitt Romney-type, looking to take over the neighborhood and displace the entire community...unless somebody can dance their way into some big big money first!

I'll say this, as terrible as these movies are, I kinda dig recurring stars Camille(Alyson Stoner) and Moose(Adam G. Sevani), so it's good they're coming back. Step Up 4 will backspin it's way into your hearts and your local theater on July 27th.
