New image from 'The Hunger Games' shows Katniss and Peeta in training

There's some reason to worry about The Hunger Games, and it has everything to do with Lionsgate's desire to turn the popular novels into it's own Twilight-level franchise. While it's basically a war film, with children from poor districts forced to fight and kill one another in a competition for the enjoyment of the ruling elite, there is a love triangle at it's core that has the potential to have fans forming rival teams all over again.

What will have the girls swooning is the emotional quandary Katniss Everdeen(Jennifer Lawrence) finds herself in. Taken from her family and best friend/lover, Gale Hawthorne(Liam Hemsworth), Katniss is thrust into the battle alongside Peeta Mellark(Josh Hutcherson), a boy she's shared a unique bond with for years. As she and Peeta fight for survival, the two of them are forced to make some hard decisions that put their lives and future happiness at risk.  Expect plenty of "Team Peeta" vs. "Team Gale" arguments to break out.  Personally, I'm Team Gale. Peeta's a cake making punk.

Entertainment Weekly has a new image from the film, showing Peeta and Katniss in their District 12 training gear, which looks like it was designed by Under Armour.  The Hunger Games opens on March 23rd!
