New poster for 'Wanderlust', starring Paul Rudd and Jennifer Aniston
The new poster for Wanderlust looks like the closing image from the opening credits of HBO's Hung. In the film that sees Paul Rudd and Jennifer Aniston pairing up in a feature for the first time since The Object of My Affection, the duo play a big city couple who grow sick of the rat race and hightail it for a simpler life in Georgia. Unfortunately, circumstance finds them stuck on a hippie commune, where hopefully they don't run into anybody quite as irritating as Rudd's character in Our Idiot Brother.
David Wain is directing, a good sign considering how he and Rudd were able to make Role Models a more meaningful comedy than it appeared on paper. Hopefully they can do the same here with a similarly flimsy premise. Justin Theroux, Lauren Ambrose, Alan Alda, Malin Akerman, Ray Liotta, and Melissa Joan Hart(Sabrina!!!) co-star.
While I like the free-spirited image, wouldn't it make more sense to show off your two stars rather than giving us a shot of their backsides? Eh, whatever. Probably doesn't matter, and I doubt it's Aniston or Rudd anyway. Wanderlust has been bumped around the schedule a bit, but it's due to open on February 24th!
