'Sin City: A Dame to Kill For' teaser poster

After years of b.s., we're finally going to get Robert Rodriguez's Sin City: A Dame to Kill For, a sequel to 2005's hit comic book adaptation. The first teaser poster has now been released, and it reveals two things right off the bat.

One, that Rodriguez will be sharing co-directing credits with Sin City creator, Frank Miller. This was a big issue with the first film, as co-directing credits were rare at the time. Miller also co-wrote the script with William Monahan(The Departed), and as before it will weave together a number of threads with multiple characters appearing in various stories.

Two, that the look and gritty noir style is going to remain practically unchanged. Rodriguez will likely find a way to tweak the look just a touch, but Sin City was ahead of its time seven years ago, and it still looks great today.

Rosario Dawson and Mickey Rourke are the only two confirmed at this point. We heard rumors of Jessica Alba returning last year, so it's likely she'll be back as well. I have a feeling much of original cast will be back, along with some new faces. Rodriguez recently stated he wanted Michelle Williams(Blue Valentine) for Machete Kills, but I think he'd have an easier time convincing her to join Sin City instead. Filming is set to kick off this summer. [Stark Industries]
