Prepare for a flood of new photos, folks, as the line-up for this year's Toronto International Film Festival was announced this morning. To say it's an incredible assemblage of movies we're all excited about would be an understatement. For an idea of how awesome it is, the opening night film is Rian Johnson's Looper, and the quality doesn't really go down from there. Am I tempted to go now? Damn right I am. Anyway, one of the other movies I'm looking forward to is The Impossible, the long-awaited tsunami disaster drama starring Ewan McGregor and Naomi Watts.
Directed by Juan Antonio Bayona(The Orphanage) and based a family's real experiences during the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami, the film follows a married couple's desperate search to reunite their family in the aftermath of the disaster. We've already seen one trailer which looked pretty good, and with a December 21st release date nailed down, clearly somebody has some high expectations for it. Check out the pics below....
