E. Roger Mitchell cast as Chaff in 'The Hunger Games: Catching Fire'

If you've had a chance to look at the clever character diagram on Catching Fire's Facebook page, one thing is made abundantly clear: There are a shitload of roles yet to be filled, which may be why Lionsgate has been moving along at such a rapid clip, with today's addition making the fifth in the last week.

E. Roger Mitchell, who was somewhere in Battle: Los Angeles and The Crazies, will take on the role of Chaff, a District 11 tribute and old friend to Haymitch Abernathy. A winner of the 45th Hunger Games, Chaff is brought back as part of the Quarter Quell, the 75th anniversary event which has former winners competing to the death. Chaff, who only has one arm with which to fight, was offered a prosthetic arm but refused to accept it.

One down, seventeen to go. And you just know Lionsgate is going to hold Finnick for last. Francis Lawrence will direct Catching Fire for release on November 22nd 2013.
