'Atlas Shrugged Part II' gets a new full trailer

Ironically, Ayn Rand would have approved of the treatment given to last year's god awful adaptation of her novel, Atlas Shrugged Part I. The miraculous, unseen hand of the free marketplace largely ignored it, and the film died a silent death with even fellow objectivists staying home to watch American Idol or something. So despite all the evidence in the world to the contrary, producers were convinced to toss more money into the pot and try again with a totally new cast, and now we're getting a look at the first full trailer for Atlas Shrugged Part II.

Featuring a new director in John Putch(American Pie Presents: The Book of Love) and a fresh crop of desperate actors like Richard T. Jones(dude you're better than this!!), Samantha Mathis, Jason Beghe, Esai Morales, and Deidrich Bader, the story is really one long-winded attempt to excuse greed and general douchebaggery. This is the second part of what producers hope to be a trilogy, with VP candidate Paul Ryan behind the camera. Ok, that last part is a lie but does it really sound that far-fetched? Probably not. To be fair, Ryan such an admitted follower of Rand's theories this might be the best time for the film to come out.

Atlas Shrugged Part II opens in limited release on October 12th....
