The final trailer for 'The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn pt. 2'

If you decided to choose MTV's Video Music Awards over Barack Obama's rousing acceptance speech tonight, well then you and I probably don't have a lot to discuss. But if you are one of those folks, then you were treated to what should be the final trailer for the final chapter of The Twilight Saga ever. Take a second and let that sink in, and cheer or grieve however you please.

Short of Bella(Kristen Stewart) chasing down and tackling a cougar like a linebacker on the football field, there isn't much in this trailer for Breaking Dawn pt. 2 worth getting excited over if you're not a fan. More stilted dialogue and flashes of upcoming war against the Volturi, with Michael Sheen again devouring up the scenery while Dakota Fanning looks bored. It may just be more fun to watch closely and look for little cracks in the foundation of K-Stew and Robert Pattinson's relationship? Otherwise the plot sounds pretty dull, with the Cullen clan teaming up with Jacob(Taylor Lautner) and his werewolf brethren to defend Renesmee from the secretive Volturi, who want her dead for some reason. There's the promise of a big vampire battle to come, but it's a promise that's been made before without delivery.

Twilight fans will eat this up, though, and considering the ending has been changed to differ from Stephenie Meyer's book, it'll be interesting to see what the response is. Let's face it, the film will do gangbusters at the box office. I'll just be the guy in the back row of the theater snickering and cracking jokes. The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn pt. 2 is directed by Bill Condon and hits theaters on November 16th.....
