Rachel McAdams knows a thing or two about time travel flicks, specifically time travel romances. That's a subgenre you don't see many gravitating towards, but McAdams is probably the queen after starring starring with Eric Bana in The Time Traveler's Wife, and...yeah, I'm gonna throw Midnight in Paris in there, too. There was time travel in there sorta. Anyway, she's set for another time-hopping love story in About Time, which we're finally getting our first look at.
The image shows McAdams and her co-star Domhnall Gleeson(Never Let Me Go) having a little rainy day fun in the film from writer/director Richard Curtis(Love Actually). McAdams took over the role from Zooey Deschanel back in May, joining Gleeson in a story that follows a man who can travel back in time, where he meets the girl of his dreams.
I love both McAdams and Gleeson, and they should make for a fun and likable pair. Here's hoping the story isn't too sugary sweet, as this image certainly implies it is. As great as Love Actually is, you could catch diabetes from its most syrupy moments. About Time doesn't have a release date yet, but hopefully we'll see it on the festival circuit early next year?
