The reviews are streaming in from the U.K. premier of Skyfall, and so far they are extraordinarily positive. Some are calling it the best Bond movie ever, which to me sounds like hyperbole. But nearly all of them at least say that it's far and away better than Quantum of Solace. Hey, that's all I ask for.
Unfortunately, we here in the States are forced to wait another month, and have to settle for whatever clips the studio feeds us. We've seen a couple of them in the last few days, and now a new one has been released which is another part of that train sequence they're so fond of. In this one, we see Bond battling a foe on top of the speeding locomotive, while field agent Eve(Naomie Harris) is encouraged by M(Judi Dench) to snipe the enemy down before he gets away, without consideration for Bond's well-being.
Skyfall is directed by Sam Mendes and opens here on November 9th....
