Warner Bros. Animation really outdid themselves with the opening chapter of The Dark Knight Returns, the straight-to-DVD adaptation of Frank Miller's untouchable comic book classic. Gorgeously animated and capturing the darker tone of the comic, along with the aging Batman's increasingly desperate and violent return to action. It's pretty much a "must-own" for Batman fans, and those who loved Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight trilogy, and it looks like the same can be said for the final act.
The trailer for The Dark Knight Returns part 2 has been released, and there's really only one thing you need to know: Batman vs. Superman. The trailer teases the brawl between the two ideologically opposed friends, as Superman is called in to take down a Batman who has become more vigilante than hero. We also get a look at the return of The Joker, voiced impressively by Michael Emerson(Lost). Peter Weller returns to voice the Dark Knight, with Ariel Winter(Modern Family) as the new Robin.
