Julianne Moore, Scoot McNairy, and Michelle Dockery join 'Non-Stop' with Liam Neeson

Whether or not Liam Neeson comes back for Taken 3, and I'm guessing yes since he made $10M for that last piece of crap, he's more than willing to milk his tough-guy persona for all its worth. He tried it with Jaume Collet-Serra's dismal Unknown, and now the two are back at it again for Non-Stop, which is basically Taken on a jetliner. As crappy as that sounds, the rest of the cast seems to indicate there may be something more here than we've been led to believe.

With Nate Parker(Red Hook Summer) coming aboard just a few days ago, Variety now reports that the always-great Julianne Moore, Scoot McNairy(Monsters), and Michelle Dockery(Downtown Abbey) are the latest additions. Neeson will play a federal air marshall on an international flight who receives text messages from someone claiming to be on the plane, threatening to kill the passengers. Neeson will then have to systematically suss out the culprit, then I assume beat the snot out of him.

Moore is coming off a a Best Actress Emmy win for playing Sarah Palin in HBO's Game Change. McNairy is all over the place right now, co-starring in Ben Affleck's Argo and in Killing Them Softly with Brad Pitt. Dockery has been slowly expanding her feature film presence, appearing as the fake Cate Blanchett in last year's Hanna, and she'll also appear in Joe Wright's adaptation of Anna Karenina.

This could be horrible, and Moore has been known to make junk from time to time(remember Next with Nic Cage??), but I'm hoping for the best here. Filming on Non-Stop begins next month. [Variety]
