Jai Courtney joins Joel Edgerton's crime thriller, 'Felony'

I was a big fan of Jai Courtney on Spartacus: Blood and Sand, but since it was a show that didn't really lend itself to many breakout stars, it seemed like he would quietly go away once his role on the show was over. That hasn't turned out to be the case, and instead he's found himself starring opposite two of Hollywood's biggest stars in a pair of major franchises. He'll play Bruce Willis' son in next year's A Good Day Day to Die Hard, and later this year he'll appear opposite Tom Cruise in Jack Reacher.

Continuing his hot streak, Courtney has joined the cast of Felony, the upcoming crime thriller produced, written, and starring Joel Edgerton(Warrior). Tom Wilkinson co-stars in the film which follows a decorated police officer who has a few drinks and runs a bystander off the road, then lies about it to cover his tracks. Courtney will play the newbie cop who suspects Edgerton is covering something up.

Matthew Saville(Noise) will be directing when production begins next month. [Deadline]
