New trailer for animated 'Iron Man: Rise of Technovore'
We already know what Marvel's done with their live-action feature films, but they've been finding extraordinary success bringing their most popular superheroes to the small screen in animated form. In particular, their union with Japanese animation studio MADHOUSE has led to four anime television series on G4. They're taking that partnership to the next level with Iron Man: Rise of Technovore.
The film features a look reminiscent of the TV series', with the characters somewhat resembling their live-action counterparts. The only exception is The Punisher, who looks nothing like Thomas Jane. The film features Iron Man and War Machine teaming up to battle Ezekiel Stane, who has launched a terrorist attack and set Tony Stark up as the culprit. Tony must evade S.H.I.E.L.D. and stop Stane before it's too late. Hawkeye, Nick Fury, and Black Widow all make appearance in the film, along with the aforementioned Punisher. How he fits into a story like this is beyond me, but it's cool nonetheless.
Directed by Hiroshi Hamazaki, Iron Man: Rise of Technovore will hit DVD/Blu-Ray next spring....
