New trailer for horror remake 'Silent Night' arrives in time for X-Mas!

Hide the milk and cookies! There's a killer Santa on the loose.....again! One of my favorite silly horror movies from the 1980s was Silent Night, Deadly Night. I didn't see it until years later as I was only 7 years old when it came out in 1984, but I've always loved that a film about a serial killer dressed as ol' St. Nick could stir up such ridiculous controversy. The film was crushed by critics and lambasted by parents who thought that a horror film such as this would scar their kids. Ebert and Siskel actually said the makers of the film were profiting off "blood money" Dudes, chill out! It did end up getting yanked from theaters, and was followed up by a number of really awful sequels.

Well now a remake is on the way from director Steven C. Miller(Under the Bed), and fans of holiday horror may want to take notice. Titled simply Silent Night, the film stars Malcolm McDowell and Jamie King as cops in a small Midwest town where a killer dressed in a Santa suit is murdering those who end up on his "naughty" list. Donal Logue, Ellen Wong, Brendan Fehr, and Lisa Marie co-star.

Silent Night comes down the chimney on November 30th, then hits DVD/Blu-Ray on December 4th...
