It's been eleven years since Don Coscarelli last brought us his rather twisted sense of humor with the cult favorite Bubba Ho-Tep, which featured Elvis Presley and a black John F. Kennedy(seriously) battling mummies and shit. Pretty weird, but Coscarelli made it work, and now he's taking the crazy train to another level with his latest film, John Dies at the End.
Comingsoon has a new poster for the film, which centers on a pair of slackers(Rob Mayes and Chase Williamson) who take a powerful hallucinogenic drug known as Soy Sauce and have an out-of-body experience. Suddenly the world is under attack from an alien menace, and humanity's only hope of survival are those same college drop outs. Expect strange monsters made out of meat, mutant females, and all sorts of other oddities to appear, along with an appearance by Paul Giamatti.
John Dies at the End is currently available on VOD (watch it here), and opens for a limited theatrical run on January 25th.
