Hacker group Anonymous reveals info linking Emma Watson to 'Fifty Shades of Grey'

Those who follow the powerful hacker group Anonymous know they tend to wield their might against issues of injustice, usually on the political front or controversial legal issues like the Steubenville rape case. But in what may be the first time hacking has ever been used to publicly expose a potential Hollywood deal, they've revealed documents that suggest Emma Watson will be starring in the adaptation of E L James' Fifty Shades of Grey.

Joining with another hacker group known as M3du5a, Anonymous dug into the server of German studio Constantin Film in response to the shut down of illegal files haring portal drei.bz late last month by a copyright protection group. They acquired files of all of the films Constantin was looking to acquire, with Watson's name attached to the role of Anastasia Steele. She's been one of the popular choices by fans of the erotic novel, so many will see this as confirmation of the long-held rumor.

It's hardly a confirmation of anything, though, and it's possible the information is out of date as the documents were from last fall.  There's been no official word from Focus Features, so this should be taken with a grain of salt. Their plan is to have the film ready by summer 2014, so expect concrete word on who will be playing Steele and Christian Grey soon.
