New motion poster and the opening four minutes from 'Now You See Me'

Louis Leterrier's anticipated, star-studded Now You See Me will mark the second film about magicians in as many months. While Steve Carell's The Incredible Burt Wonderstone was a miserable failure that didn't do much to make magic look very interesting, Leterrier's heist film could have a major trick up its sleeve this summer.

With the film coming out on May 31st and facing what is likely to be a powerful second weekend by Fast & Furious 6 and The Hangover Part III, Summit Entertainment is making a strong case for why you should seek out Now You See Me instead. They've released the opening four minutes from the film, which stars Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson, Isla Fisher (strong month for her with The Great Gatsby this week), and Dave Franco as a team of illusionists known as the Four Horseman. The footage shows them before they become successful megastars pulling off elaborate bank robberies. Some of them are better off than others, with Eisenberg and Fisher appearing to do the best, while Harrelson and Franco are barely above the level of petty criminals. It all culminates in what appears to be a dunk tank trick gone horribly wrong, but can you really trust what your eyes are seeing?

Having seen the film now, I can say it's an excellent look at the film's energetic tone and stylish direction. But does it amount to a satisfying whole? Well, you'll have to wait a couple more weeks to find out. In the mean time, feast on the footage and the cool new motion poster.
