Get Your Hands On New IMAX And Mondo Posters For 'Pacific Rim' And 'The Heat'

Nobody's going to confuse the audience for Pacific Rim with those anxiously awaiting The Heat, maybe the two groups can find common ground in a mutual love for awesome movie posters. Fans of both will be able to get their hands on some great artwork for the summer films by attending early showings at their local theater.  Pacific Rim opens on July 12th, and for those who attend one of the midnight IMAX screenings, this special edition poster by artist Sergio Grisanti will be available while supplies last. Guillermo Del Toro definitely digs it, saying “Sergio loves his Kaijus and his Mecha, and it shows. The poster, like my film, is a tribute to well-loved things.”

There's every possibility that this cool retro poster for The Heat will be better than the actual movie. Beautifully detailed in 1980s cop flick style by Tom "The Dude Designs" Hodge, this poster can be yours free if you attend this Thursday night's 10pm showing at the Alamo Drafthouse near you. You'll want to arrive early to present your ticket as supplies will likely run out very fast. For those in the DC/VA area, the closest Alamo Drafthouse is located in Ashburn, VA.
