Comic-Con Posters for 'Thor: The Dark World' and 'Captain America: The Winter Soldier'

It's expected that Marvel will have tons of huge announcements during their panel at this week's Comic-Con, but they'll be bringing more than just news, celebrities, and (hopefully) new footage to the annual event. They've also grown accustomed to offering special Comic-Con exclusive posters featuring concept art from their upcoming films, and this year their booth will have a couple of doozies. One is a new poster for Thor: The Dark World from artist Charlie Wen. The other is by Ryan Meinerding for Captain America: The Winter Soldier.

The Thor image features the thunder god soaring into the sky with his dreaded hammer, Mjolnir, surrounded by some of the film's principle players like Odin, Loki, Sif, and Jane Foster. The other one-sheet has Captain America in pitched battle against the Winter Soldier, a grown up version of his old sidekick, Bucky. It's interesting that the image has them both fighting over the iconic shield, as in the comics Winter Soldier becomes Captain America for a time. Both posters will be available at the Marvel booth starting Wednesday, July 17th.

Thor: The Dark World stars Chris Hemsworth, Tom Hiddleston, Natalie Portman, Anthony Hopkins, Jaime Alexander, Christopher Eccleston, and opens on November  8th. Captain America: The Winter Soldier stars Chris Evans, Sebastian Stan, Scarlett Johansson, Anthony Mackie, Robert Redford, Emily VanCamp, Cobie Smulders, Samuel L. Jackson, and opens April 4th 2014.
