New Trailer and Images for Sundance Hit 'Afternoon Delight', Starring Juno Temple and Kathryn Hahn

"Still no sex. Lost count. Six months"?  Those probably aren't words you ever want to hear from your spouse, and they certainly don't sound like the platform for a comedy drawing comparisons to the works of Judd Apatow and Tina Fey. But word out of Sundance on Jill Soloway's Afternoon Delight is that it's aiming for more than just laughs, and provides some genuine insight on the dangers of marital malaise.

The always great Kathryn Hahn stars as Rachel, a bored housewife who tries to spice up her marriage by going to a strip club, only to get mixed up with the girl giving her a private lap dance. Juno Temple stars as the stripper who becomes a part of Rachel's life and makes things even messier than they were before. The supporting cast is solid with Josh Radnor as Hahn's husband, Jane Lynch dropping by to drop pearls of wisdom as her therapist.

Soloway took home the Directing Award for drama at the festival, but the overall response to the film was mixed. Given the combination of Hahn and Temple there's a pretty good chance I'll fall in love with this one pretty quick, and the trailer is definitely promising. We'll find out if those Apatow comparisons hold any weight when Afternoon Delight opens on August 30th.
