Evan Ross Joins 'Mockingjay'; Scott Eastwood in 'Fury'; Judd Apatow Plans Amy Schumer Comedy

* Evan Ross (90210) has joined the cast of The Hunger Games: Mockingjay, joining other new additions Julianne Moore and Natalie Dormer. He'll play Messalla, who I remember as being part of Katniss' team against the rebellion, but Lionsgate lists him as being the cameraman for Cressida, the chronicler of Katniss' missions. Perhaps they're altering his character for the film, as they've done with others. The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 opens November 21, 2014, with Part 2 opening November 20, 2015.

* Clint's baby boy Scott Eastwood has joined the cast of David Ayer's WWII tank thriller, Fury. Brad Pitt, Logan Lerman, Shia LaBeouf, Michael Pena and Jon Bernthal star in the action flick about an American Sherman tank crew stuck behind enemy lines in the final weeks of the fighting. Eastwood last appeared in Texas Chainsaw 3D, and in his dad's baseball drama Trouble with the Curve. [Deadline]

* Judd Apatow has helped shepherd the careers of Melissa McCarthy and Kristen Wiig by producing Bridesmaids, and of course he's done wonders with Lena Dunham in HBO's Girls, now he's banking on Amy Schumer as his next discovery. Universal has picked up an untitled script that Schumer and Apatow will develop and co-write as a starring vehicle for the R-Rated comedienne, who has been a fixture on Comedy Central and currently hosts sketch comedy series Inside Amy Schumer.
