Natalie Dormer Joins 'The Hunger Games: Mockingjay'

We're still a few months away from The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, but that hasn't stopped Lionsgate from getting a jump on the final two chapter, Mockingjay. They've already secured director Francis Lawrence for the long haul, with Danny Strong (Lee Daniels' The Butler) penning the screenplays, and most notably they've added Julianne Moore to play Alma Coin. With only a handful of new roles to be filled, Game of Thrones star Natalie Dormer is the latest to come aboard.

Dormer will play Cressida, a former Capitol resident director who joins the growing rebellion, chronicling the adventures of Katniss Everdeen, played by Jennifer Lawrence. Dormer is probably best known for her verbal battles with Cersei as Margaery Tyrell on Game of Thrones, or for the years she spent as Anne Boleyn on The Tudors. This is just the latest big screen move for her, as she recently appeared in Captain America: The First Avenger, and will co-star in The Counselor and Ron Howard's Rush.

The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 opens November 21, 2014, with Part 2 opening November 20, 2015
