Vin Diesel Battles Monsters and Rescues Dogs in First 'Riddick' Clip

Years in the works, Vin Diesel's Riddick is finally hitting theaters in just over a week. The R-rated film and fourth chapter in the Chronicles of Riddick franchise has the infamous Furyan warrior battling both monsters and mercenaries on a desolate planet, not unlike the one he was trying to survive in Pitch Black. We've seen a number of trailers already, including an excellent red band, and now we have the first clip which features Riddick fighting off a native creature, saving an innocent dog in the process. Riddick's a dog lover, who knew?

Starring Katee Sackhoff, Dave Bautista, Bokeem Woodbine, Karl Urban, and Jordi Molla with David Twohy directing, Riddick opens on September 6th.
