With most of the cast, minus Matthew McConaughey, expected to return for Magic Mike XXL, the last couple of days have seen a number of ladies coming aboard. Andie MacDowell and Jada Pinkett Smith joined the stripper dramedy, with the latter as a strip club owner, and now guys will be given something else amazing to look at with Amber Heard joining the cast. Can we just ditch the dudes entirely now, please?
Heard will be joining the returning Channing Tatum, Joe Manganiello, Matt Bomer, Alex Pettyfer, and Gabriel Iglesias in the Greg Jacobs-directed film, which will have the guys going on a road trip to a stripper convention. Heard's role is unclear but she's probably going to end up the female lead, which could mean a romance with one of the guys. We haven't heard anything about Cody Horn returning so there may be a slot open for Tatum's new love interest.
Any chance Heard can convince her fiance Johnny Depp to make a cameo? Would anybody want to see that? Me neither. Magic Mike XXL opens July 1st 2015.
