Angelina Jolie in talks for David O. Russell's The Silver Linings Playbook

David O. Russell dropped out of directing Uncharted: Drake's Fortune a few weeks ago, which I'm sure made a lot of the video game fanboys happy because it meant Mark Wahlberg likely wouldn't be involved either. But the duo aren't done working together yet, as they're set to team up on Russell's passion project, The Silver Linings Playbook. With Russell's boxing drama The Fighter earning Amy Adams an Academy Award, you knew other top flight stars would be itching to work with him, possibly including one Angelina Jolie.

The news comes from JustJared, who state that Mrs. Brad Pitt is circling the film, an adaption of Matthew Quick's novel about a former high school teacher who, upon release from a four year stint in a mental hospital, proceeds to try and win back his estranged wife. Her meeting is said to scheduled for later in the week. Wahlberg is set to star, and likely if she signed on Jolie would play his wife. Just guessing.

Whether or not she'll even have time for a film like this is in doubt. Besides the Salt 2 rumors, she also has that big Cleopatra 3D film in the works. There's also Maleficent, the Sleeping Beauty reworking she's set to star in. Oh and let's not forget Jolie is still wrapping up her directorial debut, In the Land of Blood and Honey.
