Five new Conan the Barbarian character posters

Lionsgate had a very cool idea to help push their upcoming swords and loincloths adventure, Conan the Barbarian. Today they're debuting five brand new character posters on five different movie websites: JoBlo, FirstShowing.net, MTV, PopWrap, and Comingsoon.net. Why Punch Drunk Critics couldn't get a Jpeg of some random villager is beyond me. Or Bob Sapp! You could've given us Bob Sapp! We'd have hyped it to the moon, Lionsgate!

Regardless, it's still a good plan, and after the last trailer I'm pretty psyched for Marcus Nispel's film. My worry over the stiff as a board star, Jason Momoa, is subsiding. That's a good thing because if he sucks nothing else is going to matter. Check out all of those new posters below, one of which includes our first really good look at Rose McGowan's character, Marique.

Conan the Barbarian stars Jason Momoa, Rose McGowan, Rachel Nichols, Stephen Lang, and Ron Perlman. It's due to strike theaters on August 19th!

PLOT

After his father is murdered and village destroyed, Conan ventures into an unforgiving world where he survives as a thief, pirate, and warrior. On his path of wanton adventure and women, Conan chances upon the warlord responsible for his tribe’s destruction. As he tracks Khalar Zym, Conan battles monsters, Zym's henchmen, and Marique, a powerful witch.
