Woody Allen lands Emma Stone for his next film
Although he's put the finishing touches on his latest film Blue Jasmine, which will be opening in theaters this summer, Woody Allen is already looking forward to his next international tale of love and romance. A lot of young actresses have made their careers through Allen's films over the years, but now he's turning to someone who has done a pretty good job on her own up to this point, as Deadline reports that Emma Stone is in talks for the lead role.
Allen never divulges story details, so there's no information at this point other than that it will film in the south of France. Exactly how Stone will fit it into her schedule is unclear, as she has a ton currently on her plate. She's currently filming The Amazing Spider-Man 2 for Marc Webb, as well as Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu's ensemble comedy, Birdman. Cameron Crowe has set her for his upcoming untitled comedy, and Stone will star in Guillermo Del Toro's horror, Crimson Peak. With a sequel to her hit animated comedy The Croods having recently been announced, Stone is busier than ever.
As for Blue Jasmine, it stars Cate Blanchett and Alec Baldwin, heading to your favorite art house theater on July 26th.
