Will Smith and Margot Robbie get in 'Focus' in New Posters

Will Smith and The Wolf of Wall Street's Margot Robbie feature on two new posters for con man flick, Focus, directed by Glenn Ficarra and John Requa. The film opens February 27 2015, and look for a new trailer to debut tomorrow.

SYNOPSIS: Will Smith stars as Nicky, a seasoned master of misdirection who becomes romantically involved with novice con artist Jess (Margot Robbie).  As he’s teaching her the tricks of the trade, she gets too close for comfort and he abruptly breaks it off.  Three years later, the former flame—now an accomplished femme fatale—shows up in Buenos Aires in the middle of the high stakes racecar circuit.  In the midst of Nicky’s latest, very dangerous scheme, she throws his plans for a loop…and the consummate con man off his game.

Retro Video Game Posters for 'Pixels' features Pac-Man and Donkey Kong

Pixels may end up another piece of Adam Sandler crap, but the posters for the video game comedy are pretty cool.  The film stars Sandler, Kevin James, Josh Gad, Peter Dinklage, and Michelle Monaghan as video game experts called in to defend the planet from alien invaders in the form of 1980s video game characters. And these new one-sheets reflect some of the forms the extratterestrials will take; from Donkey Kong to Pac-Man to (naturally) Space Invaders.

Directed by Chris Columbus, Pixels will eat up your quarters on July 24th 2015.

New Trailer and Homage Posters for 'Kingsman: The Secret Service'

Maybe it was the crowd that was waiting with baited breath for the Marvel and DC presentations, but the footage from Kingsman: The Secret Service went over like a lead balloon at Comic-Con last summer. That must have been distressing for director Matthew Vaughn since the crowd there is exactly who they are appealing to. The film is based on the graphic novel by comics scribe Mark Millar (who also created Kick-Ass and Wanted), and it's basically a throwback to when spy movies were meant to be fun. And we see the fun Vaughn and Co. are having with the film in the latest trailer, plus four new posters spoofing James Bond's For Your Eyes Only.

Keeping his gentlemanly demeanor while beating up thugs with his umbrella, Colin Firth plays a Bond-esque secret agent who is tasked with introducing an unrefined street kid (Taron Egerton) into the espionage world. This one is full from top to bottom with spy riffs and looks like a lot of fun, especially Samuel L. Jackson as the eccentric, lispy villain.

Kingsman: The Secret Service opens February 13th.

Discover Neverland in the First Trailer for Joe Wright's 'Pan' starring Hugh Jackman

Are you ready for a fresh take on J.M. Barrie's Peter Pan? Granted, retellings of classic fairy tales are nothing new nowadays but Joe Wright, the visual maestro behind Atonement, Hanna, and the gorgeous Anna Karenina, is hoping to truly bring something new to the table with Pan, an origin story about how the boy who never grew up became a hero.

We've already seen a handful of images so we know Wright is bringing a bold look to the film, beginning with the garishly-designed characters we're all familiar with. That begins with Hugh Jackman as the dread pirate Blackbeard, who is the villain here rather than Hook, played by Garrett Hedlund. Hook is more of a dashing adventurer at this point, and a friend to Peter, who is played by newcomer Levi Miller.

For all of Wright's skill as a filmmaker, there's something hokey about live-action versions of Peter Pan, and this one unfortunately seems too much like Steven Spielberg's Hook, which was a terrible misfire. Also starring Rooney Mara, Amanda Seyfried, and Cara Delevingne, Pan opens July 17th 2015.

New Posters for 'Fifty Shades of Grey' and 'Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb'

This Valentine's Day, women will be lining up (and dragging their significant others) to watch Christian Grey seduce the pants off young Anastasia Steele in Fifty Shades of Grey. With the most recent trailer featuring stars Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson still steaming up computers everywhere, a hot new poster has been released as well. Sam Taylor-Johnson is directing, and she's best known for the film Nowhere Boy, which nobody who cares about Fifty Shades of Grey saw. A film like this is a major gamble because of its high profile nature. If she fails, and let's say it's not quite erotic enough (which is very likely), there will be legions of fans out there sending hate mail to her agent.

Doing a complete 180, Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb is right around the corner, and now we have a whopping ten new posters for the Ben Stiller-led family comedy. These come on the heels of a brand new trailer, also, which offers up more historical hijinks and a last chance to see the great Robin Williams on screen, in the role of Teddy Roosevelt. Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb is directed by Shawn Levy, and opens December 19th. Here's the official synopsis: Get ready for the wildest and most adventure-filled Night At the Museum ever as Larry (Ben Stiller) spans the globe, uniting favorite and new characters while embarking on an epic quest to save the magic before it is gone forever.

Trailers for Alex Garland's Sci-Fi Thriller 'Ex Machina' with Oscar Isaac,Domhnall Gleeson, and Alicia Vikander

When one things of artificial intelligences in the movies, the first thought that springs to mind, outside of the Stanley Kubrick film, is that of evil robots and nuclear scenarios inspired by Wargames and Terminator flicks. But if a movie like Spike Jonze's Her accomplished anything, it's change the way we look at our deep connection with technology. Alex Garland, the writer of 28 Days Later, Dredd, Sunshine, and many more in the genre realm, is taking some of the ideas Jonze presented in Her to a whole new level with his directorial debut, Ex Machina.

The first trailers and posters have been released for the anticipated sci-fi film, which features a great young cast in Alicia Vikander (Anna Karenina), Domhnall Gleeson, and Oscar Isaac, the latter two both starring in Star Wars: Episode VII. Gleeson plays a computer programmer hired by his company's reclusive CEO to take part in a very special experiment. He's tasked with spending time with Ava, an unique, sophisticated artificial intelligence in the form of a very seductive, alluring woman. His goal is to find out just how human Ava really is, and he may not be prepared for the answer.

There have been some pretty high expectations for this one and it looks like Garland is up to meeting them. Ex Machina opens April 10th 2015.

Seven Character Posters for 'The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies'

Not that a franchise like The Hobbit  needs a huge marketing push or anything like that but that hasn't stopped Warner Bros. and New Line Cinema from flooding us with promo material for each and every film. That continues with The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies, which has released a new character poster every day for the past week. The images feature Bilbo Baggins (Martin Freeman), Gandalf the Grey (Ian McKellen), Galadriel (Cate Blanchett) and Legolas (Orlando Bloom), Bard the Bowman (Luke Evans), Thorin Oakenshield (Richard Armitage) and the latest with Evangeline Lily's Tauriel.

SYNOPSIS:  “The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies” brings to an epic conclusion the adventures of Bilbo Baggins, Thorin Oakenshield and the Company of Dwarves. Having reclaimed their homeland from the Dragon Smaug, the Company has unwittingly unleashed a deadly force into the world. Enraged, Smaug rains his fiery wrath down upon the defenseless men, women and children of Lake-town. Obsessed above all else with his reclaimed treasure, Thorin sacrifices friendship and honor to hoard it as Bilbo’s frantic attempts to make him see reason drive the Hobbit towards a desperate and dangerous choice. But there are even greater dangers ahead. Unseen by any but the Wizard Gandalf, the great enemy Sauron has sent forth legions of Orcs in a stealth attack upon the Lonely Mountain. As darkness converges on their escalating conflict, the races of Dwarves, Elves and Men must decide – unite or be destroyed. Bilbo finds himself fighting for his life and the lives of his friends in the epic Battle of the Five Armies, as the future of Middle-earth hangs in the balance.

Directed by Peter Jackson, The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies opens December 17th.

New Posters for 'Interstellar', 'John Wick', 'Fury', and 'St. Vincent'

We may not know a lot about what Christopher Nolan is doing with Interstellar, but at least the breath-taking film is getting some equally gorgeous posters. And better, they aren't just land-locked on Earth but tease what the film could look like once Matthew McConaughey and the rest of the cast leave the planet. The film, which co-stars Jessica Chastain, Michael Caine, Anne Hathaway, Casey Affleck, and many more, follows an interstellar voyage through a wormhole to try and find a new home planet. Interstellar opens November 7th in IMAX.

Don't set off Keanu Reeves in the new poster for John Wick, the hitman thriller which has received some pretty good early reviews. The film is directed by Chad Stahelski with Adrianne Palicki, Willem Dafoe, Bridget Moynahan, Ian McShane, Jason Isaacs, Alfie Allen, Lance Reddick, John Leguizamo, and Michael Nyqvist co-starring, opening on October 24th. Here's the synopsis: An ex-hitman comes out of retirement to track down the gangsters that took everything from him. With New York City as his bullet-riddled playground, JOHN WICK (Keanu Reeves) is a fresh and stylized take on the “assassin genre”.

Brad Pitt and his team five-man tank crew are featured on the new poster for David Ayer's WWII thriller, Fury, which opens October 17th. Here's the synopsis: FURY is set at the very end of World War II, in April 1945. As the Allies make their final push in the European Theater, a battle-hardened army sergeant named Wardaddy (Brad Pitt) commands a Sherman tank and her five-man crew on a deadly mission behind enemy lines. Outnumbered and outgunned, Wardaddy and his men face overwhelming odds in their heroic attempts to strike at the heart of Nazi Germany.

And lastly, here's a lousy poster for St. Vincent, Ted Melfi's comedy that has Bill Murray back in the Best Actor discussion. Melissa McCarthy, Naomi Watts, Chris O'Dowd, Jaeden Lieberher co-star in the October 14th release.  In ST. VINCENT, Maggie (McCarthy), a single mother, moves into a new home in Brooklyn with her 12-year old son, Oliver (Lieberher). Forced to work long hours, she has no choice but to leave Oliver in the care of their new neighbor, Vincent (Murray), a retired curmudgeon with a penchant for alcohol and gambling. An odd friendship soon blossoms between the improbable pair. Together with a pregnant stripper named Daka (Watts), Vincent brings Oliver along on all the stops that make up his daily routine – the race track, a strip club, and the local dive bar. Vincent helps Oliver grow to become a man, while Oliver begins to see in Vincent something that no one else is able to: a misunderstood man with a good heart.

First Trailer and Posters for 'Serena' Starring Jennifer Lawrence and Bradley Cooper

In the couple of years since Danish director Susanne Bier completed Serena she's made a romantic comedy in Love is All You Need, and just debuted A Second Chance at TIFF. And yet still we haven't seen Serena in theaters, this despite starring Jennifer Lawrence and Bradley Cooper. While it's never a good sign when a film with big names is put on the shelf for so long, Lawrence and Cooper are so bankable that the quality of the movie shouldn't matter. But recently it's looked like things are changing as the U.K. has a release date set for next month, and now today comes the first trailer along with a couple of new posters.

The Depression-era drama stars Lawrence and Cooper as a North Carolina couple struggling to hold on to their timber empire in the face of  trying personal circumstances. The situation becomes worse when they learn she can't get pregnant. So it's a little bit There will be Blood and a little bit Revolutionary Road, but the trailer looks promising even if it gives away too much of the plot.

The only question is when or if we'll ever see it in the U.S. Magnolia has the rights but don't seem to be in any hurry to provide a release date when now would be the perfect time to do it. Perhaps a date can be nailed down after Serena debuts at the London Film Festival.

New Posters for 'The Hunger Games: Mockingjay', 'Camp X-Ray', and 'The Maze Runner'

We got a look at the rebellion Katniss (Jennifer Lawrence) would be leading in The Hunger Games: Mockingjay part 1 in a series of character posters, and now she finally gets one of her own. Lionsgate has released this new one-sheet showing the battle hardened Katniss, all suited up in black and ready to take the fight to the President Snow.  Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth, Elizabeth Banks, Woody Harrelson, Phillip Seymour Hoffman, Jeffrey Wright, Natalie Dormer, Julianne Moore, Stanley Stucci and Donald Sutherland also star in the adaptation of Suzanne Collins' best-selling novel, directed by Francis Lawrence and opening November 21st.

While many reviewers took issue with the military drama Camp X-Ray, the solid buzz surrounding Kristen Stewart's performance is a very real thing. Is it enough to gain the ex-Twilight thesp some Oscar buzz? I certainly think it's a possibility, but we'll find out when the film opens on October 28th. She plays a Guantanamo Bay prison guard who forges an unlikely friendship with an inmate, and it's a bond that makes her rethink everything she's been taught.

Is it crazy that The Maze Runner is the YA film I'm most looking forward to and not Mockingjay? The trailers and clips we've seen from the film, set in a massive maze populated by kidnapped boys with no recollection of their pasts, have been extremely intense and could make a superstar out of Teen Wolf's Dylan O'Brien. He stars alongside Kaya Scodelario (Wuthering Heights), Will Poulter (We're the Millers), and Thomas Brodie Sangster (Game of Thrones) with Wes Ball directing. Here's the synopsis to go along with the gritty new character posters: Based on the young-adult novel by James Dashner, “The Maze Runner” centers around teen Thomas (O’Brien), who awakens in a rusty elevator with no memory of who he is. What he does come to find out is that he’s been delivered to the middle of an intricate maze, along with a slew of other boys, who have been trying to find their way out of the ever-changing labyrinth — all the while establishing a functioning society within the enclosure they’ve come to call “The Glade.”
