Adrien Brody and Sharon Stone Go to WACO

Sharon Stone, Adrien Brody ,and Kurt Russell are in talks to star in Rupert Wainright's WACO, a multi-faceted film exploring the ATF raid on the Branch Dividian compound in Waco, TX and the 51 day siege that followed. The story will jump between the ATF agents, the FBI, the Rescue Team, and all the political manueverings surrounding the issue.

No word on what roles the actors will play. Rufus Wainright is best known as a recording artist and son of entertainer Loudon Wainright. Michael McNulty, who won an Oscar back in 1999 for the documentary Waco: The Rules of Engagement, has been brought on to consult.

Not sure how I feel about this, except to say that I'm not surprised they didn't make this announcement yesterday considering it was the anniversary of the Waco event. That's a pretty powerful line-up Wainright's been able to reel in, and Mcnulty's documentary was phenomenal, so this is something I'm definitely going to be keeping an eye on. I'm going to jump out there and guess that Kurt Russell will be playing David Koresh. Brody doesn't have the nose for it.
