Sure Shots: Mission Impossible 4; Amanda Seyfried

* Has the failure of Knight & Day shuttered the chances of us seeing Tom Cruise return for Mission: Impossible 4? Not exactly, but Deadline is reporting that Paramount may be looking to rework the script, shunting Ethan Hunt into the role of mentor to a new, young operative. Ouch. Whatever they decide, they better get crackin'. MI:4 already has a release date of December 16th, 2011 locked in with Brad Bird(Ratatouille) directing.

*  Amanda Seyfried has signed on to Andrew Niccol's high concept sci-fi love story, I'm.Mortal. The story involves a society where aging ends at the age of 25. Sounds great, right? The downside is that once you hit 25, you must buy time in order to stay alive, causing a conflict amongst the rich and the poor. That's an ingenious idea, just the sort of thing I'd expect from the guy who directed The Truman Show and Gattaca.
