1st look at Ed Harris as John McCain in Game Change

Ahhh, "Country First". The chief slogan for John McCain's disastrous 2008 Presidential campaign run. Brings back all sorts of memories of flip floppiness and questionable decision making that definitely didn't put this country first but a distant second to political ambition. But I'm getting off topic sorta, and I'll save my McCain commentary for my politics blog whenver it gets up and running. After Entertainment Weekly revealed the first image of Julianne Moore looking spot-on as half-term governor Sarah Palin in HBO's upcoming film, Game Change, now we have our first look at Ed Harris as Senator John McCain.

The likeness is simply remarkable. And to think I had more than a few people say Ed Harris was an awful choice. Then again we haven't seen how he'll capture McCain's mannerisms, so we'll just have to wait on that. This continues to be one of the movies I'm most excited for, as nobody does political dramas quite as good as HBO.  Director Jay Roach and writer Danny Strong collaborated on the excellent 2000 Presidential election film, Recount, and are back on board for this one.
