Dimension to teach How to Defeat Your Own Clone

Why must movies about clones always be such a drag? Has there ever been a happy story about a clone ever? Never Let Me Go? Not exactly cheery. Godsend? Star Trek: Nemesis? The Boys from Brazil? The 6th Day?Surrogates? Ok, there is Multiplicity but Andie McDowell's stupidity in that film is definitely kinda sad. Dimension Films will hopefully change this trend now that they've picked up the rights to the laugher guidebook, How to Defeat Your Own Clone.

The 2010 novel from writers Kyle Kurpinski and Terry D. Johnson is a comedic lesson plan in what to do in the case of a biotech revolution, where a much stronger, healthier clone of yourself may come gunning for you.  Ed Ricourt(Now You See Me) will adapt the film, but currently there's no word on a director.

Sounds like Zombieland, only with clones rather than undead flesh eaters. I'm sure there will be a running narrative in there complete with a bunch of "tips and tricks" to survive. Could be cool, but we'll wait and see what develops on the directing and casting side first.
