Fantastic Four sequel writer lands another Marvel gig with Thor 2

Well that didn't take long, did it? Not to find out who'll be replacing Kenneth Branagh as the director of Thor 2, but to find out who'll at least be penning his next adventure. Don Payne, who has a pretty hefty amount of superhero experience under his belt, has won the job for the film we just learned will open on July 26th 2013.

Every single film credit to his name has involved capes and superpowers in some way. His debut was the awful Uma Thurman starring My Super Ex-Girlfriend. He then went on to co-write Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer. And did I mention he had a hand in crafting the script for the first Thor film? So he knows his way around the landscape, which makes this a solid move in my opinion.  [Deadline]
