Sure Shots: Olivia Wilde; Kevin Bacon; Joe Pesci sues the producers of Gotti film

* Olivia Wilde will have two movies coming out in the span of two weeks: Cowboys & Aliens, and The Change-Up. By the end of 2011 she'll likely appear in at least two more, so it's safe to say she's in pretty high demand right now. That gives her the chance to pretty much have the run of any role she wants, and right now what she's considering is the opportunity to play ex-porn star Linda Lovelace in one of two competing biopics. This isn't the one that was going to star Lindsay Lohan(now with Malin Akerman). This pic is from directors Rob Epstein and Jeffrey Friedman(Howl) and a script by the writer of Temple Grandin. At one point Kate Hudson and James Franco were attached, but nothing's been heard about that for months. [E!Online]

* Kevin Bacon has entered talks to play the bad guy(yet again!!) in R.I.P.D., the comic book adaptation starring Ryan Reynolds and Jeff Bridges as a pair of undead cops working the supernatural beat. Robert Schwentke(Red, Flightplan) is directing, based on a script by Phil Hay and Matt Manfredi(Aeon Flux). No word yet on whether Jodie Foster, rumored to be joining a few months ago, has signed. For Bacon, this'll be the fourth straight time he's played villain! I think that indie flick, The Woodsman, was something of a turning point for him. He's been tackling darker stuff ever since.

* Did they think he was funny? Like a clown or something? Joe Pesci has filed a lawsuit against the producers of Gotti: In the Shadow of My Father(formerly Gotti: Three Generations), which makes me think he ain't gonna be involved anymore. After signing on to play the role of high ranking mobster Angelo Ruggiero for a fee of $3M, Pesci gained 30lbs for the part. The producers did what they've been doing all along, which is exploit Pesci's presence(remember how they used Lindsay Lohan for awhile?), then cut his salary to $1M and gave him a totally different character to play. Pesci understandably was not pleased. Shooting is set to begin in just a couple of months, so although I could care less about this film I want to see how this whole thing plays out. It appears that John Travolta(as John Gotti) and Al Pacino are still confirmed. For now. [TMZ]
