Some might say there's absolutely no reason to waste time with another G.I. Joe film after the polarizing response response to the first. To those people I only need point you to the above image, signifying the on-set presence of the most electric man in sports entertainment: Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson. The eybrow raising, pie eating brahma bull tweeted that shooting on the Jon Chu directed sequel, G.I. Joe 2: Retaliation, has finally begun in the sweltering desert heat...
"1st day of shooting. 110 degrees. Bring It.”
The Rock will star as the Joes' heavy machine gunner, Roadblock. He'll be joined by the returning Channing Tatum, Ray Park, and Lee Byung-Hun. Rza, DJ Cotrona, Ray Stevenson, Adrienne Palicki and Bruce Willis make up a small part of the new enlistees. G.I. Joe 2: Retaliation is set to hit theaters on June 29th 2012! Yo Joe!
