Little Children star joins Park Chan-Wook's Stoker

The name Phyllis Somerville probably won't sound all that familiar to you. But I'll bet her heartbreaking performance as the mom of Jackie Earle Haley's character in Little Children still sticks with you today. The veteran actress, who has appeared in everything from the original Arthur to Chapelle's Show(seriously) has joined the cast of Stoker, the English language debut from Park Chan-Wook(Oldboy).

Stoker stars Mia Wasikowska as India, an eccentric teen dealing with the sudden death of her father, quickly followed by the return of her mysterious uncle(Matthew Goode). When people around town start disappearing, India must determine if her uncle is the cause. Written by Wentworth Miller(Prison Break), the film also stars Nicole Kidman, Dermot Mulroney, Jacki Weaver, Lucas Till, and Alden Ehrenreich. Somerville will play Mrs. Garrick, India's housekeeper. Don't housekeepers and maids tend to die horribly in movies like this? [BloodyDisgusting]
